The Okmulgee County Genealogical Society (OCGS) has created this website to help inform researchers of the various documents and databases specifically tied to Okmulgee County, Oklahoma.

We have assembled various links, tools, and data to help you in your search.  We also provide a fee based search of specific collections that are held at the Okmulgee Public library, for those who cannot visit the library in person.  These searches are conducted by OCGS volunteers and include unique items not available anywhere else.

The following research is conducted by volunteers.  However, the OCGS does require a small fee which is used for purchasing materials for use in the Genealogical Department of the Okmulgee Public Library.  This fee along with donations are greatly appreciated by the patrons of the department.   READ MORE

Currently, the Okmulgee Public Library does not have ANY yearbooks for Dunbar High School!  The OCGS would like to help preserve an important part of our community’s history.  If you have a Dunbar High School yearbook please consider donating it for use by future generations.

We have been helping genealogists since 1973 and giving a warm welcome to all who share an interest in family history in Okmulgee County.  We have a great genealogy department at the Okmulgee Public Library located at 218 S. Okmulgee, OK 74447.
